First Ever BVMS Art Exhibit Opening Sunday May 3rd!

The First BVMS Art Exhibit "A Virtual Student Art Experience" opens on Sunday, May 3, 2020. A diverse collection of 175 pieces of artwork will represent a variety of media including drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, animation and printmaking.

The Opening Reception will be on Sunday, May 3rd and the exhibit will be viewable through the end of the school year. “A Virtual Student Art Experience” work was selected by BVMS Art Teachers: Mr. Ryan Lisko and Ms. Adela Montez. The artwork chosen were those that the art teachers felt embodied the most creativity and fulfillment of the lesson objectives.

This is the 14th consecutive year for showcasing BHUSD student art. Normally the artwork would be on display at the Beverly Hills City Hall Municipal Gallery. However, given our current situation, BVMS will be using an online platform to display the work. The website that will host the exhibit is called Artsonia and caters showcasing K-12 student artwork. BVMS is maintaining student privacy and the artworks will only become viewable in the exhibit when a parent grants Artsonia permission to make the artwork public. Only the student's first name is viewable inside the Municipal Gallery at City Hall.

Support the arts and the wonderful work of our students!
