BV PTA Welcome

Dear Beverly Vista Middle School Families,

We are excited to connect and welcome you to the 2020-21 school year! Last year, we were challenged with unveiling a NEW middle school in BHUSD for nearly 1000 students. Parents, students and educators were ALL IN to come together as ONE community to achieve ONE common goal: create the best middle school experience for our kids!

We begin this school year, energized by the same goal, solidified as ONE community devoted to the mission of providing the strongest educational opportunities for our children. Although we kick off the school year in different environments with distance learning, this year your BVPTA is committed to keeping our community united and supporting programs that nurture the whole childacademically, physically, socially and emotionally.

This year, the BV PTA is committed to:
  • Supporting and enhancing academics, electives and extracurricular programming through
    • Hands-on learning opportunities wherever possible throughout the school day
    • Enrichment assemblies, guest speakers and virtual field trips
    • Wellness activities, focusing on both physical and social-emotional benefits
  • Supporting our parent community through educational and social opportunities designed to strengthen and unite our group of families.
  • Upgrading outdoor areas and performing arts spaces upon our return to campus to align specific programming needs with an environment designed for our students to thrive.
Now more than ever, we need the support of our entire community to make the greatest impact on our kids lives through these unprecedented times. Each and everyONE of us can make a difference. everyONE counts! Please get involved in any way that you can. Here are four great ways to get started:
Volunteer! Join a committee to help organize engaging virtual programs for students & parents.
Donate to the Annual Fund To enhance programs with hands-on activities and enrichment opportunities, please donate what you can everyONE dollar counts.
Attend PTA meetings Your voice counts, meet new parents, and learn about all the activities.  Meetings will take place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Our first meeting will be on, August 18
at 5:30pm via Zoom.
Read the weekly PTA e-newsletter, theBulldog Blast", for the latest school news delivered to your inbox every Sunday at 6:00pm!
Together we can reset and recreate a positive educational experience that extends beyond academics and restores wellness back into our lives. We invite all families to become a member of our BV PTA to help us cultivate the power of our spirited community and bring new opportunities for everyONE!
Please meet our wonderful new Executive Board Team and email us at with any question, suggestions or ideas you may have.  We are looking forward to rising together to meet new challenges and celebrating new successes!! GO BULLDOGS!

With schools facing challenges like shrinking budgets and lack of educational equity, PTA is more important than ever.

The PTA provides programs that strengthen family-school partnerships, and free resources for members on issues and areas such as STEM and health & safety.

Be a part of a powerful association than can advocate on behalf of children and educators at the local, state and national levels.
