Join us for grade level math workshops designed exclusively for parents to learn how to prepare and help their children for academic success.

7th Grade Parents, please join us on Tuesday Dec. 10 @ 6pm for a special Parent Info Meeting to review details about the 7th Grade Outdoor Ed Trip to El Capitan (March 2 - 5) in the BVMS Auditorium. We will be discussing the many fabulous activities of the trip: The Cost and payment schedule, Recommended items for packing, Community service requirements. We will also have a representative from WOLF Adventures, the organization that runs the trip. Please remember that all students must have 10 hours of community service in order to qualify to go. There is a list of community service opportunities at bv.bhusd.org under students - community service.

Help Bring Joy to Kids in Need! Please bring new unwrapped toys for kids in kindergarten through high school. Toys will be collected from December 9th to 19th. BHUSD Families and Friends join us for the Annual Feed The Hungry Event on Tuesday, December 24 at 10am in the Hawthorne School Cafeteria. Volunteer together to make sandwiches, package toiletry bags, decorate holiday cards and fill bags with lunches to distribute to those in need.

Join us for the FIRST Beverly Vista Choir Winter Concert with BHUSD Elementary Honor Choir and Special Guests BHHS Madrigal Choir Octet on Wednesday, December 11 6:30pm - 8pm.

Help others through the gift of your time, donations, goods or your voice. Your decision to take action demonstrates that BVMS families and students give back. Students will advocate for a specific cause & volunteer in our community. Parents can support our new middle school programs by making a tax-deductible donation to the BV Annual Fund and sign up to volunteer for winter & spring!
We still need to raise an additional $40,000 to reach our Annual Fund goal for 2019-20. Your donation will support the Arts, Clubs, Athletics, Academics, Parent Education, and School Beautification.

The BVMS Environmental Club was formed by students who were inspired by the last global youth climate strike. The new club, sponsored by BV PTA and teacher Alexis Crane, is hosting a week of climate change awareness from December 2- 6th. The culminating event to highlight awareness will be a "student rally/peaceful protest" on Thursday December 5th, immediately following the end of the school day (early release at 1:45). Students will be walking down Elm, then east on Gregory, then north on S. Beverly to the corner of Wilshire and will be on that corner for about 40 minutes. This event has been sanctioned and approved by BHPD.

Club members are asking fellow students every day at lunch to make a pledge to do something "actionable for the environment" that might be looking at their single use plastic consumption like carrying a reusable water bottle or bag. They also lobbied to have recycling added to our school (bins are hopefully going to be delivered this week!)

At their booth at lunch each day in addition to the pledge they have a "make a sign" table so students can make a sign to join the protest on Thursday.

On Thursday parents and staff are invited to make a poster during lunch and to join the Peaceful Protest at 1:45pm.
