About Mr. Humphreys
Mr. Humphreys earned his Bachelor's degree from Austin College (Sherman, Texas) and his Master's degree from Pepperdine University. Previous education experiences include stints at Kentucky Repertory Theatre, Plano Repertory Theatre, Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services (Vista School), and Mira Costa High School. In addition to his Beverly Vista social studies responsibilities, Mr. Humphreys advises the BV Middle School Student Council. He is the recipient of grants for study and travel from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, Korean Cultural Center, California International Education Foundation, and Getty Villa. In 2009, he was recognized by the district with a BHUSD Apple Award distinction.
