welcome Bulldogs to another great year is never leave us the middle school I'll be happy Tire Beverly Vista dbms family I would like to say that we are so excited to see your shiny faces again this year I want to say the opening of school this year it is just a little different than we've experienced in the past but I was do you know and to assure you that your teachers have been working hard all summer long to ensure that you have a great year of learning our school motto is Unleashed this year I want to encourage you to seek ways to Unleash Your Potential as well that might come from getting engaged in your online classes that can come from seeking safe ways to volunteer in your community any clubs or organizations over the school year you can also participate in one of the ASV activities that we're going to have you don't have to be in the building at Beverly Vista to bring your full robot potential for our parents who might be watching I want to let you know that we want you involved as well there's going to be a special evening and important Bulldog family evening on the evening of August 13th at 5 p.m. this will be a town hall meeting where you will get to meet the Beverly Vista Middle School administrators and find out some important information and ensure their success this is going to be a great here at BVM up because we are going to make it a great year together it takes a village deep breath bulldog welcome back to Beverly Vista black Bulldogs can't wait to meet you welcome. I'm so excited to start working with you this year see you soon Hey Bulldog thank you for my home Library I can't wait to hear what you guys read over the summer are bulldogs let's get creative destroyed I'm going to be teaching dance for PE this year welcome back Google AI looking forward for a wonderful year with you 6th 7th and 8th grade PE doing some coaching and I one of your athletic I'm so excited to see everybody Welcome Back full. I look forward to teaching English to some of the incoming Freighters or pinto here I look forward to seeing you in fire musical theater gobulldogs all of your instructional technology needs see you soon welcome back the baby can't wait to see you in a science office who is Barry here saying welcome back call Doug hello my name is Jean McKee I'm the 7th grade assistant principal at Beverly Vista Middle School we're so excited to see you this year today I'm going to be talking to a little bit of one of our four core values in the first is building resilience well it means not having a fixed mindset but having a growth mindset in other words it's okay to make a mistake you're going to learn from those mistakes and you're going to persevere we are here to help you every step of the way and you are going build resilience here at Beverly Vista Middle School and bdms the v in the 4th quarter stats for guys learning there are some ways that you can show your parents and your teachers are you now you learning number one be prepared for your classes have all of your materials when you need them to your homework and study for your test and your president number to participate appropriately ask this is when you need help don't let your friend interrupt passes help number three take charge of your learning the most important person and you're learning is you be a great problem solver and don't allow anyone or anything prevent you from wearing is bvms the m stands for making connections this year even though we're apart we can still Beacon we're going to come up with lots of ways to help you do that one of the ways that you can make connection is getting involved in your school this year we'll have clubs that you can participate in even virtually we'll have lots and lots of different clubs and activities but you can still participate in you could also make connections to friend someone from another school one of the other schools that you came from if you're a sixth grader we have to elementary school with another study buddy what a great way to make a new connection and a new friend at dbms we are all about a bulldog family and making connections is an important part of that family hey guys I'm going to talk to you about how we show Integrity both in school and out so let's talk about a few tips that will help you out with that the friend give you confidential information don't tell not even when you're no longer friends don't let someone else take the blame for something that you did don't Chief but if you do own up to it cuz line only make things worse if you notice the money that fell on the ground return it without expecting a reward if you're in a relationship and it's obvious that it's over don't drag it out but discuss it keep your promises even if it takes extra effort own your mistakes it means you might get in trouble Enfield gossip I know it's middle school but remember words do hurt thank you whether you are participating in the ilc or ended live at bvms we are so excited to see you all for our return to learn programs here at Beverly Vista Middle School for our parents for the students we encourage each of you it support are bulldogs by getting involved in our PTA this year and supporting the enrichment program an activities they provide for our student it takes a village to raise a child and we need all of the village involved to ensure our success have a great year bulldog
